The Newark Citizen Historian Initiative (NCHI) will hold an interactive tutorial on preserving household and family treasures on Wednesday, August 3rd, at 5:30pm.
Through workshops aimed at demonstrating the basics of household preservation, The Newark Citizen Historian Initiative (NCHI) aims to empower community members to take an active role in preserving the histories of their families, communities, and organizations, helping to ensure their survival for future generations of residents, students, and researchers. Their events are free and open to the public, and are supported by the Chancellor’s Seed Grant Program at Rutgers University-Newark.
This event will be hosted by the New Jersey Hispanic Research and Information Center at the Newark Public Library and will be conducted in Spanish, on the 2nd floor of the library.
