Vigil in Newark for the Lives Lost in Orlando

vigil

For those planning on attending our oral history workshop tonight:
The Queer Newark Oral History Project team is devastated over the tragic events that took place in Orlando yesterday. There will be a vigil of remembrance and commemoration for those lives lost at 6pm tonight on the steps of Newark City Hall. In order to show our support, the plan for the evening has changed.
We will still meet in 324 Conklin Hall and have dinner from 5:00-5:50pm. We will then walk over as a group to the vigil. If you are able to stay after the vigil, Tim Stewart-Winter will hold the oral history workshop. If not, there will be an opportunity for you to participate in a future workshop.
